Subscribe To The Calendar

Add the Mens Section fixtures to your calendar by subscribing to the calendar using iCal, the standard calendar format.

Why Subscribe?

Subscribing to a calendar means you do not have to add a events to your personal calendar each year and if a fixture date changes, then the calendars will refresh weekly, so that your calendar always has the latest view.

How To Subscribe

Step 1

Copy the calendar link

Click the 'copy' button to copy the calendar URL.

Step 2

Select your calendar programme

To subscribe to an iCalendar feed using Apple's iCal program:

  1. Open the Calendar program (in Applications).
  2. From the Calendar menu select File → New Calendar Subscription.
  3. Paste the calendar URL copied from above into the Calendar URL field, then click Subscribe.
  4. If you want, you can change the calendar name and colour and change the Auto-refresh frequency to Every day from Every week, then click OK.
  5. The events should now appear in your calendar.

To subscribe to an iCalendar feed using Outlook:

  1. From the Tools menu select Account Settings.
  2. Click on the Internet Calendars tab.
  3. Click the New button.
  4. Paste the calendar URL copied from above, then click OK.
  5. To add the calendar with default settings, click Yes on the next dialog. If you wish to edit the settings, click Advanced and go to step 6.
  6. In the Advanced dialog box, you can optionally rename the calendar. Ensure the box is checked in the Update Limit section.

To subscribe to an iCalendar feed using Google Calendar:

  1. In the left column, click on the down arrow to the left of the Other Calendars section.
  2. From the menu select Add by URL.
  3. Paste the calendar URL copied from above into the dialog box, then click Add Calendar.
  4. Note: You cannot set how often the calendar refreshes.

Users sometimes report that subscribed calendars don't update in Google Calendar. One tip worth trying is to remove the calendar and add it back with &nocache appended to the URL.

iOS users can subscribe to this calendar by following the steps below:

  1. Tap Settings on the Home screen.
  2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Select Add Account…
  4. Select Other, then Add Subscribed Calendar.
  5. Paste the calendar URL copied from above, then tap Next.
  6. Tap Save to finish.

Android users can subscribe via Google Calendar and then synchronise it to their mobile devices as follows:

  1. Go to https://google.com/calendar through a browser; login to Google Calendar with the Google Account used for synchronising the mobile device.
  2. Click the down arrow beside Other calendars on the left-hand side and select Add by URL.
  3. Paste the calendar URL copied from above into the dialog box.
  4. Click Add Calendar to complete the subscription on Google Calendar.
  5. Open the calendar app on the mobile device and tap Sync.
  6. Select the new calendar in the Calendars section within Settings and tap Done.

Unsubscribe

You may sometimes need to remove a calendar subscription from your calendar programme. Follow the instructions below for your application.

  1. Open the Calendar application.
  2. Locate the subscribed calendar in the left sidebar under Calendars.
  3. To hide it, uncheck it. To permanently remove it, right-click the calendar and select Delete.

Subscribed calendars appear separately from your primary calendars in Outlook.

  1. On Mac: right-click (or Control-click) the subscribed calendar in the left navigation pane and choose Delete. This also removes it from Exchange and Outlook Web Access (OWA).
  2. On Windows: right-click the calendar in the navigation pane and select Delete Calendar.
  1. Click the cog icon in the top-right corner of Google Calendar and select Settings.
  2. In the left panel, find the calendar under Other calendars.
  3. Click the calendar name, then select Unsubscribe to remove it.
